ESL Overview

 
Rutherford County Schools currently serves a small population of 
Limited English Proficient (LEP) students in our district.  

 Language Instruction Educational Program (LIEP) Services:

  • All Limited English Proficient (LEP) students receive language support through LIEP services.  
  • Content and ESL teachers use the WIDA English Language Development to plan and deliver instruction.
  • Rutherford County Schools receives state and federal funds to support program initiatives which align with Title III requirements.
